ADULT (16+ years): Whether you are just starting out or just want help with your strokes, our Adult Program is for the young at heart- no matter what your age. Set your own goals. Work with certified instructors to learn to swim, or improve your current swimming ability and water fitness. You won’t be going to the Olympics, but you will develop confidence and smooth recognizable strokes good enough for lane swimming and fit enough for the beach.
Teen Classes (13- 17): Our teen classes are a great option for those who haven’t quite reached adulthood but want to learn the important skill of swimming. Our classes are great for swimmers of all skill levels, focusing on individualized goal setting, improving confidence in the water and building physical fitness. Never be afraid to attend that pool party again! We’ve got your covered with our teen classes.
|Adult 1 | Teen 1||You will work towards a 10-15 m swim on your front and back in the shallow end. You will do jump entries from the side. You will learn how to hold your breath and put your face in the water for a minimum of 5 seconds. You will learn to float on your front and back unassisted. Improve your fitness and your flutter kick with 4 X 9-12m interval training.|
|Adult 2 | Teen 2||Kick it up a notch working on two interval training workout of 4 X 25 m kicking. You will learn front and back crawl throughout the session and learn to swim in the deep end. You will be able to demonstrate breaststroke arms and breathing over 10-15 m. You will support yourself at the surface for 1-2 minutes, and showing off your hands while treading.|
|Adult 3 | Teen 3||No sweat (or at least none anyone can see). You will learn eggbeater for treading, compact jumps in the deep end and you will master your strokes. You will do a 300 m workout and sprinting 25-50 m. Your front crawl, back crawl and breaststroke will become a breeze. Whew!|
