GENTLE AQUAFIT

Our Gentle Aqua Fitness with slow movement is designed to offer a supportive and soothing environment for individuals seeking a low-to-no impact workout. This class combines the benefits of gentle aqua fitness with focused, controlled movements making it ideal for those recovering from injuries, surgery, or simply looking for a more relaxed exercise approach. Participants will improve balance, increase their range of motion and slowly increase their endurance.

Taking place in our uniquely shallow, warm pool, participants can enjoy many benefits of the class without the worry of getting their hair wet, water being too cold or needing any knowledge of swimming. Each class is 45 minutes in length with a maximum of 15 participants. 
Taught by our most requested, experienced and certified instructor, Colleen will guide you through gentle movements and exercises using her 25 years of experience to ensure you get the most out of the program!
  • We keep our pool at 87 degrees to ensure our swimmers are nice and warm

  • These are shallow water classes with anchored movements, which keeps your hair dry

  • You don’t need to know how to swim to sign up! If you’re over 4 ft, you’ll be able to touch in our uniquely shallow teaching pool​

  • Your instructor, Colleen has 25 years of experience and is a certified aquafitness instructor, post rehabilitation aquatherapy instructor and lifeguard. We promise, you’re in good hands. .

  • The waters buoyancy makes you lighter in the water which unloads weight from your knees and hips. You’re only 50% your body weight in the water up to your waist, 25% your body weight in the water up to your underarms, and 10% your body weight when up to your shoulders. 

  • Colleen will incorporate the use of noodles, balls and frisbees to enhance exercises in the class.
